Life Updates

Posted by MARIA DEKNEGT on

Hi everybody it's been awhile so I thought I would give some life updates.

Kids

The kids and I are doing ok =). Bry got two leads in her High-school plays and she has started applying to College! Where did time go? The boys are doing great in school, little Benji included. Benji is also doing a little better health wise, so I am hoping the worst of getting day care germs is behind him.

New Job

I started working with my mom on 11/06 in health insurance and so far so good. Stable income is at the moment better than self employment income, so while this was a difficult decision to make, I believe it was the right one. I have been able to take weekends off and spend more time with the kids which has been great.

Shop

I re-opened the shop for the time being as I have leftover inventory. Also I've had quite a lot of requests to bring back some old Winter kits. Without saying too much, I am solely supporting the kids. The family court system is extremely slow and I am still waiting on a court hearing date for temporary child support =(.

I haven't been able to design anything new just yet, hopefully with time I can get my creative side back.

Planning

Guess what? I am actually planning now! Some weeks it's just pen and some stickers, others I use some Lil Bee Kits.

Well that's all for now. I hope everybody has a wonderful holiday season.

Love,

Maria

  • Hey Maria I hope this year brings you joy and peace. Whatever situation you are going through, God doesn’t leave you.

  • It’s good to hear from you! Hope 2024 will bring continued stability, happiness and the ability to do both what is needed and what you want.
We’ve been missing our shop and I am seriously hoarding so many of the leftovers I have from TwoLilBees kits that it’s taking over my one remaining planner cart, hahaha. But it has been such fun to use your stickers. And every time I do, I can’t help but think of you and your kiddies.
I feel what you’re feeling with a nearly-college daughter – I have 2 that are in their final year of high school; it’s making me feel old, lol, but also excited for this new future ahead.
Keep on planning, Maria! And I hope your creative spark will once again start burning brightly in your (and maybe our!) future!
